description. Development of this project was a really fun and interesting exercise. We were tasked by the property owner to create architectural conceptual plans & elevations and 3D renderings for a residence that would be very private, and yet very open towards the surrounding environment in Napa Valley, CA. Energy efficiency and use of eco-friendly sustainable materials was also a big focus of this project. We came up with two different architectural designs, each one using slats made of recycled wood-like material to create a "screen" around the property, while still maintaining lightness and airiness around the entire structure.
